Mariela Alvarez-Sosa, MBA SPHR CPRP PPMC, has been a leader in provider recruitment and physician alignment strategies for more than 25 years. She has built in-house recruitment teams for public and for-profit healthcare organizations, has lectured across the nation on physician and APP hiring trends, and has helped thousands of physicians and advanced practice providers choose the right career path that’s right for them.
Now, as the founder of Lucid, Mariela brings her extensive knowledge of provider recruitment, contract negotiation, compensation reviews, and workforce communication and engagement strategies to coach both physicians and employers as they navigate the employment process.
Mariela, a self-proclaimed Cuban hippie mamacita, is a lover of books and bookstores, nature, and all things simple and beautiful, and a very proud wife and mama to her son and her four-legged babies.

A seasoned physician recruitment professional with more than 25 years of experience, Ken joins the Lucid team as a Senior Consultant leading the Placement Division.
Ken’s experience includes leading successful senior-level executive and physician searches, in-depth knowledge of niche service lines, crafting high yielding sourcing campaigns, and forging meaningful physician/employer relationships for improving retention and engagement.
Ken is a boat captain, proud dad and husband, and is pictured here with his beloved Mr. Beasly.
